Key Building Blocks

Customer Segments - Hospitals, schools, and businesses care about the health of their patients, students, and employees. They will want to support our business because our produce is healthy and does not use pesticides.

 

Key Activities - Since the aeroponics system is not as well-known as hydroponics, we will need to educate the public/potential customers about the benefits of aeroponics. We will also educate potential customers about the benefits of allowing us to use their space to get access to fresh organic produce.  Because mineralization can cause mist heads to degrade, we will need to research and develop methods to prevent mineralization from occurring thereby decreasing the amount of maintenance needed for the aeroponic system.

 

Customer Relationships - Because Urban Mist creates greenhouses on the customer’s roofs and then sells the produce to the business, hospital, or school, we will need to build a relationship of trust with these institutions. To build trust, we will have a high touch sales team to be involved in more than just meetings and discussions. 

 

Channels - Because our customer segments lean toward technology businesses, we will utilize different software/ social media outlets to market our company, such tools as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

 

Key Resources - Since we will be providing exotic produce and multi-seasoned produce, we will need to consult a biologist to determine the amount of nutrients, water, and space needed to grow the plants.

 

Key Partners - Because we are not producing nutrients, seeds, and the raw materials to build the greenhouse and aeroponics system, we will need to build a good relationship with one or more suppliers in these fields to ensure we receive exceptional supplies and it is received in a timely manner.

 

Cost Structure - Because we rely on our suppliers to provide seeds and nutrients at a reasonable price, we will need to build a relationship with suppliers that can provide us with the best quality product at low cost. 

 

Revenue Streams - Because businesses, schools, and hospitals have large spaces, provide meals, and care about their employees, students, and patients’ health, the focus of our revenue will come from these institutions.

 

Market Size - Because one of our target market is businesses that provide food to their employees, our market in the business field may be small. However, our other target markets, hospitals and schools, will be quite large since every city and town has at least 1 school or hospital.
